Do you see the world as unfair? Maybe you see others living the life you want or wish you had. But instead of doing something about it, you sit back and chalk it up to luck or the simple fact that life is unfair.
I don’t mean to brag, but everything always works out for my in the end. I really don’t worry about things because it isn’t worth my time. The time I spend worrying is wasted. I’ll never get it back and it doesn’t get me anywhere but keep me in the exact same place I am in now.
But the even bigger reason why I don’t worry and things work out for me is because I put a demand on my potential. I don’t sit back and let life happen, I make a conscious effort to make life happen. I go out and do the things that will put me in the best place for success and opportunity.
Getting The Most Out of Life – Demand More of Yourself
If you want more out of life, go get it. Don’t tell yourself it can’t be done or that you’re not good enough. When you do this, you are limiting your potential and will never get the most out of life. You need to stop this negative thinking and start to think more positively. You need to realize that you have unlimited potential.
I’m not a big fan of flying. I’m not exactly sure what it is about flying but I’m never 100% comfortable with it. Nevertheless, I still fly places. While I am good to fly on the big airlines, flying on smaller planes or “puddle jumpers” as many call them is another story. I refuse to do it.
But two years ago, my wife won a silent auction for a trip to Belize. The only problem was that to get to the resort (which was on a small island or cay off the coast) we had to take a puddle jumper. I was not happy about this.
As we walked up to the plane, the pilot was weighing our bags and made us sit in certain seats to balance the weight. When they started the engines, the entire plane cabin filled with exhaust fumes. The entire flight, the co-pilot was reading the newspaper. It was a 10 minute flight but I think I lost 20 pounds I was sweating so much.
But I made it through. When we got to the resort, we went snorkeling in the reef. For those reading this that aren’t aware, Belize has the second largest reef next to Australia. It was by far the most amazing thing I have ever seen in my life. And I would have never gotten to experience it if I had limited my potential and not gotten on that plane.
Demand more of yourself. You have more courage, strength, and intelligence than you give yourself credit for. Many reading this have lived their entire lives with limiting beliefs, thinking they aren’t good enough. You are good enough. You are smart enough. You are strong enough. You just have to change your mindset and start believing in yourself.
We only live once. Every day that passes is a day we will never get back. I know that sounds a little dark, but it is the truth and we need to accept this truth. The sooner we can accept this truth, the sooner we can begin the process of getting the most out of life. Stop holding yourself back. Face your fears and put a demand on your potential. If you do this, you will find that life will start to turn in your favor as well.
